Inspiration
The city seal, featured on the city flag, features a Spanish caravel in full sail. And the Seven Caves of La Jolla were home tovictims of shipwrecks early on, then rumrunners’ loot during prohibition . I was thinking about the tick marks one might etch into the wall of a cave awaiting rescue, or rudimentary inventory marks while counting an illicit stash where records were discouraged.
